Our Ministries in the World

Outreach

The Outreach Ministry Team at Atonement serves as the hands and feet of Christ in the surrounding community. Jesus calls us to serve each other in his commandment to “love one another, as I have loved you.”  There are many ways to become involved both as members of this team, and also by volunteering for individual initiatives throughout the year:  stocking the Little Free Food Pantry, staffing the Farmer’s Market, donating to the Angel Tree at Christmas time, and so much more. If you have an idea for our Outreach Team, please let our Rector know and we will connect you to our ministry leaders.

Little Free Food Pantry

We have a long history of supporting the Westfield Food Pantry.  Since the pandemic began, we have been collecting food for our own satellite pantry--a little red shed just outside our side door.  Food in our "Little Free Food Pantry" is available to the public at anytime!  Just walk up or drive up and take what you need.

Little Free Library

Located near our playground, our Little Free Library offers books for children and adults.  The books are free - please take what you would like to read.

"The mission of Westfield Farmers Market is to provide affordable, healthy food to the community and to support local agriculture."
Westfield Farmers Market provides locally grown agricultural products and hand-made crafts in a festive community atmosphere.

We accept SNAP/HIP/EBT and credit cards during the market. For more information visit us on facebook.

Westfield Soup Kitchen

Supporting those experiencing food insecurity in our community is in the very DNA of the Episcopal Church of the Atonement. We serve at the Westfield Soup Kitchen each 4th Sunday of the month. You may help by preparing food, delivering it to the Kitchen, and serving. Contact Ray and Teddi Brown to find out how you can help.

God calls people of any age, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality to join us in worship and work in the world. God's grace draws us in: - all of us -   and together all of us reach out with God's love.
